Uses
- It is used to stop or treat eye infections.
- It is used to treat skin irritation.
- Bacitracin, neomycin, and polymyxin B works to harm the bacteria and fight the infection.
- Hydrocortisone stops or lowers irritation and swelling.
Dosing
How to take
- Ointment:
- For the eye only.
- Wash your hands before and after use.
- Do not touch the container tip to the eye, lid, or other skin.
- Place drug inside the lower lid. Close the eye for 1 to 2 minutes. Roll eyeball around.
- Space each eye drug by 10 minutes.
- Skin:
- Do not take this drug by mouth. Use on your skin only. Keep out of your mouth, nose, and eyes (may burn).
- Wash your hands before and after use.
- Clean affected part before use. Make sure to dry well.
- Put a thin layer on the affected skin and rub in gently.
