Uses
- It is used to stop or treat bleeding that happens after a birth.
- Methylergonovine lowers blood flow to the uterus and lessens bleeding.
Dosing
How to take
- This drug is most often given as a shot into a muscle.
- Rarely, it will be given into a vein.
- It may be taken by mouth.
- Take with or without food. Take with food if it causes an upset stomach.
