Uses
- It is used to treat high pressure in the lungs.
- Treprostinil calms blood vessels.
- It helps the heart and lungs work better.
Dosing
How to take
- Shot:
- It is given into the vein or the fatty part of the skin nonstop.
- Your doctor may teach you how to give the shot.
- Wash your hands before and after use.
- Throw away needles in a needle/sharp disposal box and take the box back to your doctor when it is full.
- Liquid for breathing in:
- Follow what your doctor has told you to do.
- For breathing into the lungs only using the TyvasoT inhalation system.
- After the last dose is used for the day, get rid of any drug that is left in the chamber so it is ready for the next day.
- Have your puffer (inhaler) use checked with your doctor at each visit. Read and follow facts on how to use the puffer. Make sure you use the puffer the right way.
