Uses
- It is used to lower high phosphate levels.
- Sevelamer lowers how much phosphate gets in the GI (gastrointestinal) tract.
Dosing
How to take
- Take with meals.
- Tablet:
- Swallow tablet whole. Do not chew, break, or crush.
- Powder:
- Mix the 0.8 g packet contents with 2 tablespoons (30 mL) of water or the 2.4 g packet contents with 4 tablespoons (60 mL) of water. Stir and drink within 30 minutes. Powder will not melt.
