Uses
- It is used to stop or treat GI (gastrointestinal) ulcers.
- It is used to treat oral and esophageal (swallowing tube) ulcers.
- Sucralfate protects the ulcer from acid by acting as a barrier.
Dosing
How to take
- Take on an empty stomach. Take 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals.
- Liquid:
- Shake well before use.
- Those who have feeding tubes may also use the liquid. Flush the feeding tube before and after this drug is given.
