Uses
- It is used to treat Paget's disease.
- It is used to stop or treat bone growth that is not normal from hip surgery or spine injury.
- Etidronate stops bone loss.
Dosing
How to take
- Take on an empty stomach. Take 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals.
- Take with a full glass of water.
- Take with plain water only. Avoid taking with mineral water or other drinks.
- Do not drink or eat for at least 2 hours after taking this drug.
- Do not lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking this drug. This stops irritation to the swallowing tube (esophagus).
- This drug works best when used with calcium/vitamin D and weight-bearing workouts like walking or PT (physical therapy).
- Follow the diet and workout plan that your doctor told you about.
