Uses
- It is used to ease allergy signs.
- It is used to treat spinal cord injuries.
- Cyproheptadine lowers or stops the body's reaction to the allergen.
- It works in the brain to help you eat more. It stops headaches.
Dosing
How to take
- This drug is most useful if started before contact with the allergen. Take at least 1 to 3 hours before.
- Take with or without food. Take with food if it causes an upset stomach.
- There is a liquid (syrup) if you cannot swallow pills.
- Those who have feeding tubes may also use the liquid. Flush the feeding tube before and after this drug is given.
