Uses

It is used to treat loose stools (diarrhea).
It is used to lower ostomy output.
Loperamide slows movement in the GI (gastrointestinal) tract by letting more water get into it..

Dosing

How to take
Follow what your doctor has told you to do.
Take with or without food. Take with food if it causes an upset stomach.
There is a liquid (solution) if you cannot swallow pills.
Those who have feeding tubes may also use the liquid. Flush the feeding tube before and after this drug is given.
Drink lots of noncaffeine liquids unless told to drink less liquid by your doctor.
