Uses
- It is used to open the airways in lung diseases where spasm may cause breathing problems.
- Indacaterol works in the airways to calm the muscles and help the flow of oxygen.
Dosing
How to take
- To gain the most benefit, do not miss doses.
- Take this drug at the same time of day.
- Do not use more than 1 time a day.
- Do not swallow capsule. The contents of the capsule will be breathed into the lungs.
- Use with the NeohalerT puffer (inhaler) only.
- Take the capsule out of the foil right before use.
- Open mouthpiece by pulling up.
- Put capsule in the chamber in the bottom of the puffer (inhaler).
- Close mouthpiece until click is heard.
- Keep puffer (inhaler) at a level, upright position.
- Press both buttons on the sides of the puffer (inhaler) at the same time and let go when you hear a click.
- Breathe out fully. Never breathe out into the puffer (inhaler).
- Place mouthpiece in your mouth. Close your lips around the mouthpiece.
- Hold your breath as long as you can without harm.
- If any powder stays in the capsule, breathe out fully and repeat. When the capsule is empty, throw it away.
- If you are using more than 1 type of puffer (inhaler), ask your doctor which puffer to use first.
- Have your puffer (inhaler) use checked with your doctor at each visit. Read and follow facts on how to use the puffer. Make sure you use the puffer the right way.
- Do not use a spacer with the puffer (inhaler).
- Use new puffer (inhaler) with each refill.
