Uses
- It is used to treat GI (gastrointestinal) spasms.
- It is used to treat irritable bowel syndrome.
- Dicyclomine slows movement in the GI (gastrointestinal) tract, lowering the number of spasms.
Dosing
How to take
- Take 30 to 60 minutes before meals.
- Drink lots of noncaffeine liquids unless told to drink less liquid by your doctor.
- There is a liquid (syrup) if you cannot swallow pills.
- Those who have feeding tubes may also use the liquid. Flush the feeding tube before and after this drug is given.
- Shot:
- It is given as a shot into a muscle.
