Uses
- It is used to treat loose stools (diarrhea).
- It is used to ease too much gas in the stomach.
- Lactobacillus keeps the normal balance of bacteria and yeast in the GI (gastrointestinal) tract.
Dosing
How to take
- Tablets and capsules:
- Take with or without food. Take with food if it causes an upset stomach.
- Swallow capsule whole. Do not chew, break, or crush.
- You may sprinkle contents of capsule on soft food or liquid. Do not chew.
- Chewable tablet: Chew or crush well. Mix crushed tablet with food. Do not swallow it whole.
- Granules:
- Mix with cereal, food, or milk.
- Powder:
- Take on an empty stomach. Take 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals.
- Mix with water and drink.
- You may also mix the powder with applesauce or yogurt.
