Uses
- It is used to treat bacterial infections.
- Levofloxacin works to harm the bacteria and fight the infection.
Dosing
How to take
- To gain the most benefit, do not miss doses.
- Use as you have been told, even if you are feeling better.
- Take this drug at the same time of day.
- Oral:
- Take tablets with or without food. Take with food if it causes an upset stomach.
- Take liquid (solution) on an empty stomach. Take 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals.
- Drink lots of noncaffeine liquids unless told to drink less liquid by your doctor.
- Those who have feeding tubes may also use the liquid. Flush the feeding tube before and after this drug is given.
- Shot:
- It is given as a shot into a vein over a period of time.
