Uses
- It is used to treat high blood pressure.
- It is used to protect kidney function in diabetic patients who have protein loss.
- Losartan lowers blood pressure by lowering a strong chemical in the body.
- It helps kidney function in patients with high blood sugar (diabetes).
Dosing
How to take
- Take as you have been told, even if you are feeling better.
- Take this drug at the same time of day.
- Take with or without food. Take with food if it causes an upset stomach.
- There is a liquid (suspension) if you cannot swallow pills. Shake well before use.
- Those who have feeding tubes may also use the liquid. Flush the feeding tube before and after this drug is given.
- Follow the diet and workout plan that your doctor told you about.
