Uses
- It is used to treat hard stools (constipation).
- It is used to treat irritable bowel syndrome.
- It is used to raise fiber in the diet.
- Psyllium softens the stool by raising its water content.
Dosing
How to take
- Take with or without food. Take with food if it causes an upset stomach.
- Take with a full glass of water.
- Swallow capsule whole. Do not chew, break, or crush.
- Mix powder with water and drink.
- Drink lots of noncaffeine liquids unless told to drink less liquid by your doctor.
