Uses
- It is used to treat hereditary tyrosinemia type 1 (HT-1).
- Nitisinone stops the breakdown of tyrosine. In people with HT-1, harmful chemicals are formed from tyrosine.
Dosing
How to take
- To gain the most benefit, do not miss doses.
- Take on an empty stomach. Take 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals.
- Swallow capsule whole. Do not chew, break, or crush.
- Capsules may be opened and contents mixed with food or liquid.
- Follow the diet plan that your doctor told you about.
