Uses
- It is used to stop or treat bacterial infections.
- Minocycline works to harm the bacteria and fight the infection.
Dosing
How to take
- To gain the most benefit, do not miss doses.
- Use as you have been told, even if you are feeling better.
- Oral:
- Take with or without food. Take with food if it causes an upset stomach.
- Take with a full glass of water.
- Do not lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking this drug. This stops irritation to the swallowing tube (esophagus).
- Long-acting tablet: Swallow it whole. Do not chew, break, or crush it.
- Shot:
- It is given as a shot into a vein over a period of time.
