- It is used to stop coughing.
- Dextromethorphan works on the cough center in the brain.
Dosing
How to take
- Take with a full glass of water.
- Place oral strip on your tongue and let melt.
- There is a liquid (drops, solution, suspension, syrup) if you cannot swallow pills. Shake suspension well before use.
- Those who have feeding tubes may also use the liquid. Flush the feeding tube before and after this drug is given.
- Drink lots of noncaffeine liquids unless told to drink less liquid by your doctor.
