Uses
- It is used to stop or treat bacterial infections.
- Vancomycin works to harm the bacteria and fight the infection.
Dosing
How to take
- All products:
- To gain the most benefit, do not miss doses.
- Use as you have been told, even if you are feeling better.
- Shot:
- It is given as an infusion into a vein over a period of time.
- This drug may be given at home.
- Your doctor may teach you how to give this drug.
- Wash your hands before and after use.
- Throw away needles in a needle/sharp disposal box and take the box back to your doctor when it is full.
- Oral:
- Take with or without food.
- Those who have feeding tubes may also use the liquid. Flush the feeding tube before and after this drug is given.
