Uses
- It is used to ease pain.
- It is used to help diabetic nerve pain.
- Capsaicin lowers a chemical that causes pain.
Dosing
How to take
- All products:
- Do not take this drug by mouth. Use on your skin only. Keep out of your mouth, nose, and eyes (may burn).
- Wash your hands before and after use.
- Clean affected part before use. Make sure to dry well.
- You may wear gloves when putting on.
- Gel, liquid, or lotion:
- Put a thin layer on the affected skin and rub in gently.
- QutenzaT:
- This drug will be given to you by a doctor.
- Other patches:
- Put on the most painful parts of the skin.
- Put patch on at the same time of day.
- Put on clean, dry, healthy skin.
- You may leave on for up to 8 hours.
