Uses
- It is used to lower the bad effects of some cancer drugs on the bladder.
- Mesna binds with some cancer drugs in the bladder to lower their harmful effects.
Dosing
How to take
- It may be taken by mouth.
- It may be mixed with water, milk, juice, or a carbonated drink.
- It may be given as a shot.
- This drug is given with your cancer drugs.
- It may be given with your cancer drug and for 2 or more extra doses.
- This drug must be taken exactly as you have been told.
- Drink lots of noncaffeine liquids unless told to drink less liquid by your doctor.
