Yew/Drug Interactions:
Anticarcinogenic agentsAnticarcinogenic agents: Japanese yew, Taxus cuspidata, has shown to increase the cellular accumulation of vincristine (VCR) in multidrug-resistant tumor cells. The data suggest that some taxoids in the yew may be useful for overcoming multidrug resistance in tumor cells (20; 21). Taxol? is a cytostatic drug from the yew tree (22).
