In theory, these effects may also apply to yohimbe bark extract, which contains variable (albeit low) concentrations of yohimbine alkaloid.GlucoseGlucose: Anecdotally and in animal study, yohimbine has been reported to increase the effects of diabetic medications, including insulin (101), although there is limited scientific evidence in this area. In human research, yohimbine lacked an effect on blood glucose levels (102).
